The Benedictine Abbey of Mont-Saint-Michel is one of the most remarkable examples of medieval religious and military architecture and was one of Christianity’s most important pilgrimage sites from the 8th to the 18th century.
The Abbey comprises a superb ensemble of clerical buildings including the abbey church, the cloister restored in 2017, the refectory, the monks’ ambulatory and the gardens of what has been known as the "Merveille"(Marvel) since the 12th century.
Overlooking the Mont-Saint-Michel bay, the abbey also offers a breathtaking view.
Designated world heritage site by UNESCO.

From Saint-Malo: exit n° 2, D 155 and D 797 or N 176 to Pontorson, then D 976. From Caen: exit n° 8, N 175 direction Rennes to Pontaubault, then D 43, D 75 and D 275 to Le Mont-Saint-Michel.
