Site archéologique de Montcaret

Gallo-Roman mosaics of the Dordogne.

The vestiges of 1st, 4th and 5th century, altered in the Middle Ages, are part of this Gallo-Roman villa with peristyle (interior court). This site presents a splendid polylobée room of 60 m2 and private baths. The particularity of this site derives from the quality and width of the mosaic pavements and its uninterrupted and attested occupation from Antiquity to modern age.
